Empowering and Enhancing the Quality of Life for Children & Families Affected by Autism and Asperger Syndrome

We offer assistance to families in autism training, counseling, respite care, locating resources, and finding treatment options. These extra services are invaluable to families, increasing their quality of life and ensuring their child’s ongoing progress.

Autism Oasis for Kids is a 501 c (3) nonprofit autism organization dedicated to educating and supporting children affected by autism and their families, with autism therapy modalities personalized to their needs. Our autism center employs multiple teaching and autism therapy modalities ranging from relational therapy, sensory integration, to cranio-sacral therapies in order to empower autistic children in reaching their full potential.

Want to Volunteer?

Contact our autism center if you're interested in volunteering. Students attending the University of Florida, Santa Fe College or Lake City Community College interested in an internship are more than welcome to contact our autism center. While here, you can supervise the children while they're in the playground or working in the garden. You can also volunteer as a teacher's aid.

A Word from Our Founder

I am a mother of a 10 year old autistic child, who survived childhood cancer along with a rare auto-immune disorder and later developed a severe immune deficiency. After extensive research, dedication and care, I helped my son recover from all those chronic and life threatening conditions. Having gotten extensive training in play-therapy, coaching, family & marriage counseling and having taken workshops at autism centers, allows me to better understand the challenges of families affected by autism, to assist them in better understanding this disorder and in gaining practical tools to better help their child.

This is why great care has been put on selecting the staff, composed of certified teachers coached by autism experts. They work very closely with the parents, who are THE experts on their own child. Our program is designed so that the work of our specialists supports that of the parents, and vice versa. We only employ teachers who are naturally loving, have deep respect and patience toward autistic children, and are able to empower their students by believing in their true potential.

Furthermore, our program benefits from the latest research findings, as our school is intimately associated with a long time practitioner and researcher, Kat Houghton from Relate to Autism.

I truly believe in the potential and the gifts these children have to offer. Our center offers a safe, respectful and nurturing environment best suited to their needs, allowing them to flourish.
